Happy Easter!

A happy, happy Easter to you!

This is what our glorious Easter Sunday looked like this year:

Dominic's Easter Basket

Gabriel's Easter Basket

Nicholas' Easter Basket

Michael's Easter Basket

My Easter Basket (credits to my hubby for this one!)

After a bright and early start to our day, we dressed up for 8AM mass.  My boys clean up very nicely.  I always feel like such a lucky lady with so many suited escorts.

After mass my parents and my brother came over for treats and brunch!  They came to my first-trimester rescue this year by even bringing the food.  It was a huge help and delicious of course.

Nicholas decided that we should have another egg hunt, in the backyard.

After passing out from sugar coma's for a couple of hours, we went to my Mom and Dad's for Easter dinner.  The kids took an inaugural swim in the pool for the year 2015.  Even Nicholas dipped his toes in for the first time.

I hope you had a wonderful Easter Sunday as well.  Here is to 50-days of liturgical feasting!

 He is risen, Alleluia!

Holy Saturday traditions

Holy Saturday is always a busy but welcomed day in our home.  We switch gears from Lent and start preparing for Easter.   I always hope that we will have some restful moments to enter into the "waiting" that the first Christians experienced, but with little ones in the house it typically feels pretty chaotic!

This year, after our parish's annual Easter basket blessing and egg hunt, we dyed hard-boiled eggs, cleaned and decorated our house and started cooking/baking for the Easter solemnities.   We also squeezed in a tee-ball game midday!
