St. Patrick's Cathedral, Melbourne

For our second weekend in Melbourne we explored more of downtown, including the city's breathtaking Gothic-style cathedral which was constructed in the mid-1800's. One of my favorite things about the city so far is the contrast of old and new architecture.

On Saturday evening we were fortunate to have been invited for dinner at Simon, Michelle and baby Giles's home. Michelle and Michael work together in the finance department at Experian and she has been giving us tips for living in Melbourne (with a little one). We had a really nice evening and felt grateful to get to know their family and getting an "inside look" at the Australian culture. It is truly amazing how similar we all are, despite being raised on opposite sides of the world!
