Dominic was too excited to see all of our Easter baskets out when he came downstairs on Easter morning. He immediately found his "bean jar" (each dried bean represented a good deed), which had magically turned into jelly beans! I think he ate a good twenty candies or so, before we headed to mass.
Dominic's basket this year was filled with a new story book about Simon of Cyrene. For some reason, he really associated with this Passion character! He also received an Easter coloring book, a Jesus-plush toy, a new Thomas train, a scapular and many of his favorite edible treats!
This year was our little Gabriel's first Easter! In his basket, he found a new book, some teething biscuits, and his favorite-- a "massaging John Deere corn teether". Yes it is weird, but he loves it!
After mass we met up with the cousins for a cute photo!
Sadly, the kids weren't in the mood for a family photo this year...
We returned to our home for a delicious brunch with my family, and another little Easter egg hunt!
And we really couldn't get them both to smile together...
Happy Easter, and blessings to everyone! Christ is risen, Alleluia, Alleluia!
