Americans' make everything BIG.
The first year after moving here from Canada, I arrived at school one day to find everybody wearing green and threatening to pinch me. My friends reminded me that it was St. Patrick's day, to which I responded "You guys are Catholic too!?" (I attended public school)...
I don't think my boys have one-ounce of "Irish" in them, but we love Saints, including St. Patrick!
