Easter Egg Hunt

Our "More Moms" group and the Knights of Columbus organized the annual Easter Egg Hunt at our parish.  It was a beautiful day, a fun hunt and a great turnout!

Besides enjoying the opportunity to serve our Church, I enjoy this event because it is all about the kids!  I want our children to feel like they are a part of parish life!  They are as much a part of the body of Christ as adults, and it is important to me that they realize this.

Gabriel came down with the flu the night before and had a pretty high fever that day.... Hence the lack of smiles in our photos.  Poor baby boy!  Somehow he still managed to gather some eggs and enjoy a few treats.

The Egg Hunt begins with a blessing of the Easter Baskets.  This year, Dominic had a Robot and Rocket Ship themed bucket, and Gabriel's was sports themed.

The Hunt itself lasts about...oh.. 15 seconds?

Gabriel wore the same shirt that Dominic wore for his first Easter Egg Hunt (embroidered by Grandmaman!)  I love being able to pass down these special items to Gabriel...
