The boys are learning to play hockey for one-hour each week and they are really enjoying it. Although hockey opportunities are typically far and few in our area of the country, this program is at an ice-rink about 10-minutes from our home and we have been impressed by the coaching attention given to the kids. They work on skating and hockey drills for most of the class and then often scrimmage at the end. As we are starting to approach ages where extracurricular activities are the norm, and I am finding myself most appreciative of classes and sports that our boys can do together! I know that they will develop varying interests as they get older, but for now our hockey class has been a great fit.
Not to mention, they look pretty awesome in with their hockey equipment on!
Upcoming hockey-player Nicholas is also smitten by the sport and already trying to catch up to his big brothers.
