We celebrated Michael's birthday in the mountains with three other families that are very dear to us. We all live between San Diego and Pasadena, so we do not get to see each other as often as we would like.
All together we have 13 young children, ages seven and under. This made for a crazy weekend, in the best way possible.
Big and little, we all had a blast. We cooked and ate together, took a couple of nature walks and a trip to the park, watched movies, talked and caught up on the past few months of our lives. The kids bunked together and stayed up all night. We introduced our kids to s'mores and made a bonfire in the middle of the day.
It was a wonderful finale to our summer.
